We were visiting family and celebrating a special Birthday. We all agreed on The Belfry as a good place to celebrate. Our server gave us great suggestions about the menu, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The filet mignon was a big hit. The scallop appetizer was enough for an entree. This restaurant is really beautiful, the food is very good, and the atmosphere is perfect for an upscale dining experience

The tomato/mozzarella appetizer was so small, it came with chopsticks. Not kidding. It was insulting to pay $15 for squirrel portions. My husband's steak was medium well on one side and medium rare on the other. My salmon was very similar - well done and chewy on the outside, rare and gummy on the inside. The place was basically empty at 7pm on a Thursday in July. We should've known...

After a long day of touring MA we were looking for a nice place to eat nearby. We initially checked out the Brown Jug but we were not really in the mood for pizza, so looked at places nearby with good reviews. Belfry Bistro looked to be a nice place. The restaurant is housed in an old church and there is a nice terrace outside.
We were seated and after the busboy brought some water we were waited to by an older waitress. As I was still examining the wine list she ran off saying that she got better things do.
Absolutely gobsmacked we were left pondering what to do. We had a bit of an appetite so decided to stay, this proved to be our biggest mistake of the evening. After calling out the waitress on her rude behavior she apologized and we ordered our wine and food.
The boys ordered steak sou-vide, of course medium rare and we chose the red snapper. Our food was served a few minutes later. The steaks were more medium than rare and the red snapper had been fried to a crisp. For the price we expected a lot me finesse in the preparation of our meals. Especially the red snapper should have been delicately baked in some oil or butter so that the skin and rest of the fish easily detaches from the meat.
As desert we ordered crème brulee and salt chocolate mousse. The crème brulee had nothing to do with the dish by the same name. It looked the same but the crème was no crème. The chocolate mousse was OK.
All in all not a restaurant we can recommend.

We went here with a group to celebrate my BIL and wife's 50th anniversary. Great service my the lone server who seemed to remember everything from drinks, apps and main courses without writing it down. No mistakes! And there were 15 people ordering. I had the hanger steak for the first time which was extremely tasty and I certainly would have it again.

We've eaten here a number of times in the past and always had a nice time. We have noticed a decline in the quality of the food but now the service was so bad we'll never go back. This was the worst dining experience we ever had on Cape Cod. The waitress for our table of 8 had no help. The busboy never came to our table to refill our water glasses, never helped to serve or clear the dishes. Additionally, the wait for our food was very, very long. And at the end, it took 15 minutes to run two credit cards. We were there almost two and a half hours.
