First off, we enjoyed meeting Devon - great guy, very friendly and attentive to his guests. And we thought his restaurant was a step above much of what Ptown has to offer. That said, I will admit that my appetite was nearly spoiled by the faded, grossly out-dated, (highly over rated - even in their heyday) Nagel prints that greeted us. Then our eyes found the incredibly well-done - just the right kind of kitsch - "boat bar". From there we scratched our heads at what seemed to be the scene of a drag queen that had exploded on the walls and ceiling - zebra print ceiling panels, glitter silver panels near the ceiling, surrounding the entire room - all on a sea of lavender with acrylic accents and overly glittery lighting choices. Why does it matter? It's just not a gracious, settling dining ambience - for us. It almost verges on classy in some of its choices, but then goes terribly wrong.

The food was good, but not great - particularly at this price point. It's a good menu - interesting and not too big. Cocktails were okay - sounded better than they tasted, but not bad. Then came the pork Shumai, which was good, but not great. It seemed to suffer the fate of other menu items - we were all set to order the pork chop and the soft shell crab special when both arrived at the table next to us before we placed our order - they were enormous. I mean Cheesecake Factory-sized! We quickly reconsidered and ordered one entree, another appetizer and split them. The Shumai seemed to be made with good ingredients, but were so over-stuffed with pork that the flavor balance was off and the fat content was extreme - we didn't taste anything but a big lump of pork floating in grease. The rest of the meal was good - not great, just good. Again, at this price point and given the quality of the ingredients they seem to stock, get the portions in check and focus the menu and the food more sharply and Devon's will be a great destination - we'll even forgive the "Divine's Boathouse" decor. In fact, we would have ordered more food/spent more money if the portions were right.

We spent a rainy and cold Oct weekend with our dog in PTown. When all the supposedly pet-friendly restaurants closed their porches due to the rain, we were so happy to find Devon's heated and enclosed porch and their dog-friendly policy. We went there at first because we did not want to leave our dog in the hotel room, but once we ate there we fell in love with the truly lovely, friendly staff and the wonderful food. We ended up eating there three times (two breakfasts and one dinner). The quality of food was excellent (fresh and tasty)! We also have two severe allergies in our family. The chef and wait staff went out of their way to make sure that there was no allergens in the dishes we ordered. We see ourselves going back there in our future trips.

Devon's is a okay choice for food. I would not recommend this restaurant nor would I shy anyone away. Decent priced food for a decent portion and quality. Meh

Had a lovely breakfast here with my husband and son on 9/12/15. A Mimosa and Bloody Mary to start which were excellent - but they did not have chocolate milk for my son, which was a disappointment for him. Eggs Florentine were so yummy – such fluffy, beautiful eggs on toasted English muffin with spinach and wonderful fresh Hollandaise sauce. Chocolate chip pancakes were a gargantuan portion and we shared them all around. Place is small but service was good and the “octopus” décor is interesting. I would definitely return!

We stopped by at 5:45 PM and asked about availability for an outside table. We were given an option of 7:45 or 8:45, and we picked 7:45. They take reservations on a clip board with each table assigned slots and times for seating. The hostess took out name and number and we saw where she marked us down. We returned at 7:45, and she couldn't find our name. We showed her where we were, and someone had written over it with a highlighter and given our table to another person at 7. Then she told us that they moved our reservation to another table at 7pm and when we didn't show, they gave that table away too. Now mind you, no one bothered to call...there was another table open and set for 2 and we asked for that table but we were told they had a reservation for that coming up. If we wanted, we could eat inside. Now why when we are standing there waiting, they would say they need to hold the table for someone else is beyond me. This is the second bad experience we've had there, so we won't be back. There are plenty of other options that are at the same price point where we don't have this issue (Ross' Grill, The Mews, Jimmy's Hideaway, Tin Pan Alley, Cafe Heaven, and Edwige to name a few)...if you want to know you'll actually have a reservation when you make it, save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.
