Even on a Sunday night in Decmeber, the room was filled by 7 PM and the noise level energetic. Flounder special on a prix fixe menu was delicious, and the server knowledgeable and friendly. My son, who lives in P'town, thinks this is one of the best in town, consistently top level

Travelled down to P'Town with some friends to have dinner at The Mews and enjoy some great music at the open mic night and hear Digney Fignus perform as the main act for the evening. For the better part of 25 years the Mews has been showcasing local talent...along with serving some fantastic martinis and food.
In case you think that there is nothing to do on the Cape in the winter...think again..or better yet don't think about it as all cause it is our secret. There is plenty to do on the Cape in he winter. From one end to other there are clubs and restaurants open and happy to have foodies and music lovers come in and spend an evening.
In the summer it might take you two hours to get from Yarmouth down to P'Town..and that would be considered fast. Last night we did it in under an hour and that was with two separate rollover accidents blocking the highway. One of party had thought to make a reservation as we were a party of six. No problem getting the reservation and they were waiting for us as we walked in the door. Parking can be an issue so we dropped the ladies off, drove down Commercial street and found on street parking about three blocks away.
Our serve was Steve and he was on top of his game all night. Prompt, helpful and a true professional.
Everyone ordered drinks and we were soon searching the menu trying to decide what great dishes we would have. Drinks came and the wine glasses were beautiful to look at and the contents equally so to enjoy. The martini at the table was also a delight. My wife and I ordered the lobster and corn chowder and cheeseburgers. Everyone else went with the fixed menu for $35 which was a great buy. Full generous servings of the apps and main dishes and huge desserts. The fish with risotto was the winner although our burgers were pretty darn good. We went light by the way because we are headed to SFO next week for Christmas with our son and we are holding back on eating too much before we go. I think we have 5 parties to go to between now and when we leave. The pudding cake was fabulous by the way. Coffee at the bar is free. One restroom on the main floor and the rest are downstairs.
Wonderful food, excellent service and fantastic music. All adds up to we gotta come back.

Always eat here when we are in P-town.

Great food with great attentive service.

Escargot w/ puff pastry is delicious and could eat just that for dinner. Lemon cake for desert excellent.

Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our meal here. We dined upstairs, although we were told same menu downstairs too. I had baked oysters, lobster with giant scallops, mushrooms and garlic mash. It was simply perfection. My Husband had lobster corn chowder and venison with mushroom risotto. The venison, which was cooked a bit over, but was still tender with good flavor. Service was very good. We would visit here again.

Husband and I stopped by for dinner right after thanksgiving. We’ve been meaning to try it for awhile. We were unfortunately not hungry enough for appetizers although we shared the frisée/radicchio salad. Salad was just OK, just didn’t like the smoked duck. I got the lamb loin chops. The lamb was very flavorful and the accompanying vegetables were both cute and well-cooked. My husband got the eggplant curry with chicken. He liked it, and he’s Indian, so....we shared the chocolate mousse cake which was unbelievably delicious. Came with whipped cream and coffee ice cream. Yum! We got a bottle of wine and beverages with dessert and the bill was pretty hefty. Very nice atmosphere, fresh flowers and good service and the hostess was very friendly as well. Got parking on the street not too far away. It was the off-season. Glad we went, would come back for just dessert if that was allowed, but too pricy for regular visits.
