Canteen is always a good bet but it is especially exciting to have them offer breakfast, lunch & dinner during the winter season. They have an extensive breakfast menu including a delicious Shakshouka. Continuing on the creative fare of last winter, Canteen is taking advantage of the quiet season to offer creative weekly menus based on a range of different cuisines. Some to be highlighted in coming weeks: Indian, Mexican, BBQ, Ramen.
A very warm welcoming place on a cold winter's day or night!

This has been my second time eating in this place, and its always a delight. I like that that they make unconventional sandwiches and that they cater for non-meat eater like me. I had the Mojo Tofu and its excellent. It is rich with flavor and the combination of the dressing they use, makes its taste terrific.
The place can be packed; on a nice day they can seat you at the front and they have a great area at the back as well. otherwise, the inside can be crowded.
The price is reasonable and affordable.

We stopped in and had the roasted tofu sandwich and the mushroom sandwich. Both were served hot, with a unique blend of vegetables, and tasted great! They are also at reasonable prices. It is a small place with limited inside seating. There is outside seating both in front and in the back. Service is quick but be prepared to wait in line as many locals and tourists alike frequent the Canteen!

Based on recommendations by friends from RI and the Cape, came to the Canteen fir breakfast and so glad we did. Wishing now I had brought a book or my knitting because after a perfect breakfast and lattes, this is the perfect place to while away the morning. The Canteen has a strong secured Wifi, lovely music and heat on a chilly day. Everyone here is cheerful, helpful, and energetic, running lattes over from their companion store next door at Happy Camper. This is such an "up" and positive space! We had the 2x2 breakfast (2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 thick sourdough toast) and the avocado toast (delightful presentation of 7 grain toast with avocado, tomato, Chia seeds topped with fried egg). Will definitely be exploring future meals at the Canteen!
