Everything we had was delicious - carrot soup, hummus, polenta & sausage, and eggplant. Most amazingly was the bread was whole-wheat sour dough. They have interesting combination such as daikon along with hummus. I like that they seem to be trying new ways to make a dish. The only thing I didn't like was the set up of the bathroom in the middle of the dining area, I guess they had limited options when they turned the little house into a restaurant.

This was our first time here, we have heard great things about Elizabeth’s from friends, and it lived up to the praise.
The menu is mostly vegetarian, the nightly special were meat.
We can’t wait to go back!
Highly recommend Elizabeth’s.
The owner is a real nice guy too.

Our party of six was pleasantly surprised by the food, service and attention of the owner/chef. The family-style salad was delicious and abundant, with fresh greens, veggies, watermelon and cheese.. the bread- the only item not made there, was a perfect compliment. We each ordered different items and all were pleased with the Italian inspired offerings. I do give a recommendation for the eggplant dish... and the homemade sausage. Reservations are a must. We will return!

A family owned restaurant in an old building on the outskirst of Pittsfield. Huge salad bowl followed by salmon and a dry chicken covered in yogurt. Reasonable prices; no credit cards

When we know we are going to be in Pittsfield we call ahead to make a reservation at Elizabeth's to make sure we get in; they are only open four nights (Wednesday through SAturday) and it fills up. We have always found Tom, the owner, to be pleasant and funny though he also appears not to suffer fools lightly. He is responsible (I think) for the specials and the night we were there the salmon with arugula pesto (without garlic) over linguini was wonderful. Companions got lasagna, always dependable, and eggplant and mushrooms in a light tomato broth/sauce that was thin and so good we ate it with a spoon like soup. To me the best thing about dining at Elizabeth's (out of many good things) is to see what Tom puts in the salad. The salad is served in a big cold metal mixing bowl and it is always different because it is composed of what is good at the market that day. Tonight's was a mix of greens in a light balsamic vinaigrette that contained small chunks of watermelon, raisins, cheddar cheese strips, feta, Parmesan, sliced carrots and a few other vegetables. Salad is included with the meal as is good sourdough bread that they get from Berkshire Mountain Bakery. Desserts are often fairly ordinary but it's hard to want dessert anyway after the main event. Prices are very reasonable. Warning: this restaurant only takes cash or personal checks; no credit cards. And reservations are a good idea.
