Sometimes when you stay years ago at a hotel and return it’s not always the same. But luckily for everyone, the Cove has! We were here five years ago anf stayed again this weekend which is Columbus Day weekend. It appeared to be a full capacity ( soccer tournament) which surprised us thinking after summer it would be less crowded. Even though it was fully booked you would not know it from any noise level. It was very quiet at night (they do have a quiet hours policy so definitely not for those that want to party).
Pros-staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful (thank you Sally for your help in describing rooms for our future visits).
Rooms are clean (though the bathroom baseboards could use some additional cleaning). Quiet. Beautiful views from most of the rooms of the cove. Our room #37-had a great view. Our room was a deluxe room and was very large with a king bed and a pull out couch. Balcony is shared but there is enough room between rooms that you still have privacy. Bed was very comfortable and there are different size pillows. Enough light for reading and enough electrical plugs for devices.
Pool was heated we were told but did not use but others were enjoying it. Large enough.
There are areas to sit outside and view the cove and relax.
Value is fine for the cost.
Cons- bathroom is small and if I were to offer any suggestions it would be to add an extra shelf in the bathroom and add a towel rail onto the sink cabinet for towel use.
We intend to return and enjoy The Cove. You should too!

Stayed here three nights - was in Orleans for a wedding. Great location and close to everything. The staff was super friendly, the motel was very clean, and all rooms seem to have their own personality and charm.

The pool was refreshing, and the grounds we nice as well.

Excellent, personalized service. Great location with beautiful view of town cove. Lovely pool, comfortable room. Can’t ask for more. The Cove Motel even has a new text message service for checkin and housekeeping requests. This was our second visit to the Cove and we are looking forward to another stay next season.

This is a quaint and quiet property overlooking the water in Orlean. Being near the town's yacht club, you get to enjoy the vessels that cruise by. A stay at the Cove can restore your soul from your weekly stress.

The Cove in Orleans was an amazing find. It appears to be a family run business and the proprietors are constantly working in the grounds. We had a 2nd floor deluxe King room. Enough room for 2 for a few days with amenities like small coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The room was impeccably clean. The pool was clean as well. Originally we got the small waterfront with an amazing water view but as happens with any room so close to the water it was a bit musty for my liking . I am very picky about stuff like that. The front desk could not be nicer about it and immediately switched rooms for us. I would recommend units with central air as they seem to have been renovated recently. The grounds are well maintained and the town cove is a great place to while having morning coffee. Had a fantastic weekend on the Cape without the hassle of finding a house for the weekend and will absolutely be back. Really close to The Sunbird which is a unique restaurant not to be missed.
