I can understand why some people say that New Seabury needs some updates, but I found it to be a relaxing and solid experience. The staff is professional and welcoming. The setting is uniquely Cape Cod. The accommodation and food is solid... not Wow, but solid. And that's really all that's necessary as the shoreline is the real attraction.

We had booked a cottage in Maushop Village 1-1/2 years in advance. Sight unseen. We traveled to Cape Cod during Hurricane Jose, in the off-season for a wedding. The property itself is very nice, quaint. Our cottage was fantastic! (We rented through Homeaway.com) It was so nice to stay onsite, all the events were a short drive from the cottage. Breathtaking views of the ocean. I can only imagine what it is like to visit in the summer! If you are going to New Seabury for a wedding or event- definitely book something to stay onsite!

We had a really lovely stay in this 2 BR townhouse setup, fairway view! The Cape can be expensive; as anywhere with limited supply, you get what you pay for. And here Check in was easy, staff very accommodating and attentive, beds were very comfortable, cozy gas fireplace for the chilly evenings of late summer, amenities plentiful. Access to beaches, shopping and golf were easily found. We had more space than needed, we would go back definitely during the off season. We thoroughly enjoyed drinks and apps at the clubhouse after golf and the course played quite well.

Been going to this place since I was in college in the late 80's. Not much has changed over the years other than new properties popping up. However these new properties are spaced well giving the tenants and owners plenty of privacy.

We stayed at the Quarters Condos and was pleasantly surprised with the nice semi-open concept living-kitchen-dinning area. Also came with two bedrooms and two full baths. Not that we needed that extra bedroom, but nice to know if we decide to return with the kids.

For dinner one night we made our way to the Raw bar (at the resort) and we ordered up some oysters and some $30 lobster rolls. Now at first I was like "Okay $30 is a lot", but for what you get its a bargain. They must have stuffed at least a pound or more lobster into that roll. I actually had a hard time finishing it.

Another night we headed off the resort to the South Cape Village (in Mashpee) and ate at the Wicked Restaurant. Place had a really cool layout with a huge horseshoe shaped bar. Decor was modern yet warm and comfy too. We order up some burgers which were excellent and this is coming from a burger snob. We also ordered a large Grilled Veg and Goat Cheese pizza to bring home so we had something to nibble on the next day since the it was supposed to rain. Pizza was excellent too!

The only issue I had with our stay is it is hard to find your way around the resort without navigation. Without it your going to get lost even with all the signs posted around the resort.

Anyway this is a great place to stay and if your a golfer then you would be in heaven. There was a beach on the resort and unfortunately we didn't get the chance to use it due to the weather. However from what i saw it looked like a fantastic place to spend the day. Also they have a private cabana club with a pool so that too is an option for another time.

Room Tip: You need to ask for a water view property. Also might need to book way in advance...

We rented a condo for a night this summer. The condo itself was fine. It was a bit outdated but was mostly clean (a few hairs in the shower didn't belong to us, but otherwise no complaints). We stayed there at the suggestion of others who spoke highly of the opportunity to go to the beach and adjacent pool - the pool really being the highlight for our kids and the beach being the draw for the adults. After a few minutes in the pool (which was beautiful), we were told that our 2 year-old would have to swim in the kiddie pool because he was in diapers. The kiddie pool was a very small, very shallow, and very cold pool set off from the excitement of the regular pool where all of the fun was. Needless to say, our 2 year-old was not interested in swimming the in the kiddie pool while his brothers swam in the big fun pool. Fortunately the beach was nearby and offered a temporary distraction, but I have never been prevented from taking a diaper-clad child into a pool as long as he was in a swim-diaper. The manager was kind in explaining that the outdated filter system in the pool prevented them from allowing kids in diapers to swim there, but this information was not posted anywhere, and we likely would not have stayed at the property if we had known this information in advance. There is a brand-new pool elsewhere on the property (everything is a drive in the development - don't plan to walk from place to place!) which accommodates family members of all ages and potty-training abilities, but this pool is far from the beach. And, though you can order food at this pool, we waited over an hour for our lunch. The manager was kind enough to comp the meal and the staff were all very nice about it - but still, it was a disappointing experience. In general, the place is over-priced for what you get, and the service is poor. Lastly, due to a big rain storm, the golf course was closed the day we arrived and we couldn't even golf. Knowing what else the area has to offer, we would recommend people look to stay elsewhere - especially with young kids.
