Libraries are treasures. This one which is steeped in history and great architecture is located in the splendid Berkshire town of Lenox, Mass.

While you are in downtown Lenox, take a few minutes and tour the library. It has some interesting displays and architectural features, including the ceiling on the third floor.

This is a terrific library. The selection is limited, but they are happy to order books from other branches. The space is beautiful and serene. They have great programs and lectures. The children's area is the best I've seen, very accessible and welcoming, with a terrific selection.

This is a beautiful building - just being in it is a pleasure. And the book collection is quite extensive for such a small town.
