The hotel was dark and uninviting - mainly, I think because of the choice of colours -especially the carpents.
We stayed three nights but had little sleep as the main buildings air conditioning units were below our rookand sounded like an jubmo jet taking off every half hour
The food was good in the hotel the rooms were a good size and staff excellent
All that said, I would not stay there by choice again

Room Tip: Ask To be moved to a room AWAY from the main building air conditioning if you want any sleep

The hotel is dated and could do with modernising, but the resteraunt was good, the staff excellent and couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Bit of a slog into town or to the harbour, but worth going just for the choice of resteraunts there.

Room Tip: make sure you don't get a room overlooking the carpark, try to get one overlooking the golf cour...

We stayed here for a weekend school event. We were disappointed that we had to walk through the main building to an adjoining building and had to carry our luggage up to the second floor via steps and then go down a long hallway to finally get to our room. The rooms have been updated recently and are nice. The beds appear to be full and not queen size. The beds are comfortable but we were too close for comfort. Our room had a balcony with slider and overlooked a grassy courtyard which was a nice feature since the weather was nice.

Room Tip: If being assigned an upper floor room ask if you can reach it via elevator.

I stayed here for two nights while attending a conference. The rooms are spread out from the lobby. The hallways are damp and musty but the rooms are pretty good. Mine had a comfortable king bed and a slider that opened to the golf course. My complaint was with the internet service. It was very poor and I often had trouble getting access. They obviously don't have enough service to accomodate all of their guests. Since I was traveling for work, access was important that this caused me some difficulties.

The conference facilities are pretty good. The catered food was good but they had a little trouble handling a large group at buffets (only two lines). The restaurant in the lobby was OK but slow.

Room Tip: If there's a conference on site, make sure you're not near a hospitality room.

Yes, the hallways smelled musty and damp, especially the further back from the lobby you walked. We were prepared for this, thanks to tripadvisor. The rooms were very clean, though, and the lobby concierge was helpful and incredibly informative about the area. We walked to the little package store behind the property and brought champagne and beer back to the room to store in the little fridge. We only ate the wedding reception food so I can't rate the restaurant but the bar was large with plenty of football games being covered both nights we were there. We did enjoy the jacuzzi the 1st night - towels are always disappointingly small, I think. They have a work-out room with men's, women's, and co-ed saunas as well. Nice property overall.

Room Tip: Stay closer to the lobby to avoid the carpet mildew smell in the hallways.
