This was not my first choice but went along to be part of the team. This is a rather small restaurant , a total of 8 for this night out. First of all the waitress was excellent, even after a long day she stayed to accommodate the two couples who were late in arriving. All other friends were very satisfied with their meals but unfortunately my entree was inedible (seafood linguine). There was so much garlic that it was impossible to even stomach what had been placed in front of me. Out of respect to my friends I did not complain for ask for a refund. I should have been more up front as to how I wanted my meal prepared. Regardless those preparing should have realized that there was way too much garlic added to this pasta dish. Would I return? Probably but I would be adamant about how my meal was to be prepared.
My husband and I were exhausted and stopped in Haverhill for the night. We found Olivia's on Trip Advisor- and we are glad we did. The place is charming. Our server was warm and friendly- I wish I could remember her name(she had twins) and made the evening even more enjoyable. The building was once used as a storage facility for vegetables (or fruit!?) and it is been beautifully and lovingly restored. We had a wonderful meal- my husband had the eggplant and I had fettuccine. The little rolls they serve are sinfully delicious! Both meals were served with a salad with a nice homemade salad dressing. Enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine. A true treasure of a restaurant- everything was top notch!
