I visited Gloucester with my 21 year old son and my mother in law in June 2018. We are from Alabama and had never visited this area before. We chose Gloucester as a break from Boston to go whale watching. We took the commuter train and arrived early, so we decided to grab a bite to eat. There are many restaurants in the little town, but this was the place we chose based on reviews and our preferences. We arrived at 11am when they opened and were seated quickly on the patio outside. Our server(I failed to get her name) was extremely friendly and helpful. This IS a fishing town...there are smells if you sit outside. We were not bothered---it just smelled like the sea! :)
We ordered drinks. My son got the Fishermans Brew and enjoyed it. I ordered a strawberry mixed drink with pilsner. It was unique and tasty. We ordered clam strips and Cod Bites for appetizers and both were delicious! We all three ordered Lobster Rolls and were not disappointed for our first try! It came with fries and slaw.
We would absolutely eat here again!

Been here many times, love the fishing town location. This was our first stop this year and were sad to see the changes. One would think being a brewery on the waterfront in a seaside village would have great seafood and beer, but the menu changes were shocking. No fried oysters, no fried whole belly clams (only strips), no fried scallops??? Odd. Calamari and haddock instead? Had the fish and chips and haddock was fresh but they use the heavier batter which I am not a fan of. The beer choices pretty much the same over the years, average at best. Their pumpkin beers is what they are known for and were not available this time of year I guess. Service was good and fries are awesome. We also noticed no longer was there t-shirts/sweatshirts or glassware available in showcase. We both had the feeling the business kinda slipping. Probably would try again, but with no change to menu, the beer surely isn't good enough as compared to most New England craft breweries to draw us back.

Had a walk on the beach near gloucester
With high windgusts at very low temperature...
We felt hungry, And if you want great food, this is the place to get it.
The portions of served food is enormous
And still very tastefull.
It would be a waste to leave Some on your
Plate...
Quality /price is fine...
Come back again , whenever i’ll be in the neighbourhood...
