This is a quaint, pricey spot for lunch with friends over a bowl of soup or a sandwich. The prices reflect the atmosphere and clientele who tend to be on the more affluent end of the spectrum. The bread is fresh and the meat tastes fine, but the portions are quiet small. Sandwiches generally cost between $9 and $12, plus the tax on top, plus the tip on top, so you're looking at spending $11.50 to $14.50 or so just for two slices of bread, a bit of meat and some sauce or whatnot. The deep-fried pickles are delicious. It's like Japanese Tempura but with a pickle slice. So if you are looking for atmosphere and need to see certain things while you eat, then go here, the food is ok. If you are more interested in quality food at reasonable prices, I would perhaps recommend looking elsewhere such as A Slice of Italy (best restaurant in Falmouth for lunch). I will not be going back to The Pickle Jar until the sandwiches become more substantial.

Nice place with good service and good food.

Famous for fried pickles, which were very good.

Located on Main street in Falmouth. After lunch we strolled down to the Congregational church on the common. It has a bell made by Paul Revere.

The Pickle Jar was recommended to me by several folks I met in Falmouth, and they were not wrong. I went there for lunch and had a lovely and delicious meal, and everything was really, really fresh. I tried the Nobska Light sandwich (smoked salmon with lots of great pairings) and it was great. I also loved the pickled veggies served with it, enough to by a large container to bring home. The ginger molasses cookies were also delicious - crisp and very tasty. I will be going back to the Pickle Jar very soon.
