We spent two nights and had a Superior Townhouse accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room with the additional bedroom loft was very clean, spacious, and quiet; just what we wanted!
There were just a couple of downsides that made it not absolutely perfect. The lower level bathroom had a very small counter in the sink area, and some shelving would have been helpful for personal items, as well as some clothes hooks. Only one shelf was provided, above the toilet, mainly for towels. For lack of another useful place, my husband put his clothes there. Ultimately a sock fell in the toilet bowl resulting in an unpleasant start to that day. The other negative room feature was also a positive one... The black metal spiral staircase leading up to the loft was a fun feature but it was a safety hazard in the room with all of its dark red decor. The staircase was barely visible in some light and totally invisible in the dark; it would easily have caused a head injury if walked into. One of us had a light-colored jacket which we hung from the stair frame while we were in the room to make it more visible; this detracted from the room's aesthetics but gave us some peace of mind. The lower area of the spiral staircase should have had protective cushioning in appropriate places and been painted in a more noticeable color.
The third negative was the breakfast area; the room was far too small and poorly laid out for the number of guests on a Saturday morning. People were lined up to use the single waffle maker and bumping into each other to reach the coffee, pastries, trash can, etc. Our second morning we went out to eat for a more relaxing experience, despite the inn's included breakfast.
Overall it was a good place to stay for two nights but with a few improvements it could be really great.

Inside: roomy, spacious, clean, wet bar, sink and vanity outside bathroom made it easier for two people to do their morning ablutions at the same time, large half-fridge which actually kept things cold below and icy above;

Outside: perfect when setting up for easy access to Wood's Hole Ferry (15 minutes away) to Martha's Vineyard, centrally located on Teaticket Highway and walking distance from several big box stores behind it, a package store for booze and spirits next door and a non-chain pizza parlor next door to that, and across the street a huge grocery store for everything else--all steps from the Inn.

Additional pros: we never heard our neighbors being on the 2nd and top floor, separate from the main building and reception. Generally quiet, though we only saw a few cars parked outside our building; it might have been a light guest night. Easy check in, good WiFi. AC/Heater unit noise was really white noise and covered any street sounds and any bathroom usage sounds in the middle of the night.

The gentle cons: one set of downstairs building doors didn't lock (apparently the maids and staff keep it unlatched during the day-- a no-no), anyone could walk in, though you still had to have room card to get into the room. TVs were large but cable feed ranged from OK to glitchy. Loud bathroom fan turned on with light switch which was really annoying in the middle of the night.

But the one big con was the mattress for each bed. Everyone has their preferences and some people like rock hard beds, but we did not. At first they felt stiff and supported when we plopped down, but within two to three hours the mattresses were too hard, too rigid, too unforgiving. Our bodies ached by the middle of the night and I personally gave up by four o'clock and slept sitting up. It took two days for the pain to go away in my neck and lower back. This place could have been the perfect budget stay, but our sleep problems killed it for us. However, since others guests may like their mattresses hard, we won't go less than an Average rating here. Maybe we were unlucky. Clearly others on this website didn't have our issues, but it is unfortunate to say we don't think we would rebook here because of it. The Inn could have been excellent.

We stayed there, mid-summer 2017, and the year before, too, both times in the room with the jacuzzi. It's comfy, cozy, has a nice pool. It's an old building, i remember staying there 20 years ago, and perhaps it could use a little TLC, but everything seemed to work just fine. Our room was far from the street, and very quiet. If you find something out of sorts, let them know, they take care of it right away, they're very responsive and pleasant.

Located near plenty of stores and the ferries to Martha's Vineyard, the price is very reasonable, especially considering peak season. Would be nice if its restaurant was open for more than just breakfast - for this, minus 1 star. Fortunately, it's not far from restaurants, and there's plenty of take-out places. Can i add half a star for that? :D

Room Tip: Great value! Everything you need except a restaurant.

I took my children on a 3 day getaway and we chose Admiralty Inn for our stay on groupon. Overall no complaints, the rooms were clean. We had the 2 king size beds which was nice to be able to separate ones that wanted to go to sleep early. The pool was clean but the chlorine was harsh on all of our eyes. The breakfast was sufficient with options for all of us.

Room Tip: The spiral stairs were a bit of a hazard for the younger children
