It had been about a year and we had an excellent meal at a different seafood restaurant earlier in the weekend but we like Lindsey’s so we stopped in for an early dinner before packing up and heading home. We were seated in the pub side for some reason but that turned out fine. Service was good and pretty quick. My wife ordered potato skins and the Pilgrim sandwich and she loved both. I had the clam chowder and the clam roll. The chowder was wonderful, very thick and the third time I had chowder this weekend. The clam roll came and i looked through the clams and fries on the plate, could not find the roll. The waitress came by and I asked her if the clam roll still came with a roll... she looked and shock her head. Said sometimes those in the kitchen lose their head. She got a roll and all was fine. The clam roll was very good once I put it together.

I have visited Lindsey's for over 50 years and it is still the best! The only problem is deciding what to order.

The Seafood Bisque and Clam Chowder are fabulous. The lobster roll (cold, light mayo and no "salad" items is very generous and wonderful. Fried whole clams are unmatched. I also had the strawberry shortcake in season and again fabulous.

Service was excellent. Don't miss this seafood restaurant!

Let me begin by saying that I have I have been there numerous times. Service and food can vary. Two visits ago was awesome and I left a review. Last time however was not good at all. Twelve of us went on Fathers Day. Though a busy day like that, any good restaurant should be able to handle a crowd. Arrived 1:00, food arrived 2:00. Rolls were cold and very dry. Tasted like day old. Half of us ordered broiled haddock. All were warm to the touch and all were hard on top and dry. Green beans and potatoes had no flavor and were not hot. One scallop was actually a chunk of chicken. Baked stuffed haddock was good but not hot. Sorry to say but best plate was actually buffalo chicken. We did not want to ruin Father’s Day and tell waitress that a majority of the meals should not have been served. We were very disappointed. We have all been there many times in the past. Most were spot on. This one visit however was “bad”. And not just one or two plates. Apologies for being honest but you need to know. Kitchen staff was terrible. Waitress was very nice and very pleasant. Thank you.

Easy to get to with good parking on Route 6 in Wareham. Handicap[ed parking isn't in front of the building even though that's where the handicapped ramp is located. Fish batters are light and crispy and the kitchen doesn't add salt for those who need to limit sodium. Excellent selection of fried, battered, grilled and sauteed fish, potatoes and onion rings. Better than average size serving of cole slaw that comes in a real dish, not a small fluted paper cup. Many servings are large enough for two to share and the food is well prepared and delicious.
