This house and the owner couldn't have been better. Comfortable, spacious, convenient and beachfront. We were there over July 4th and the fireworks were too much to be believed. As one neighbor said "it felt like the end of the world!" Two separate living spaces gave kids and adults plenty of distance when needed. 10 minutes from anything you'd need or want. Don't miss the farmers market in town on Sundays!
We made our first trip to Cape Cod in July 2016. It was myself, my boyfriend, my 75 yr old mother and my two boys (ages 22 & 14). I picked this house mostly for the location to the beach and I wasn't disappointed with that at all. The location is PRIMO! The beach is steps from the house and it's considered "private", so we could keep our chairs, towels, easy-up out in the sand all week long. Nobody bothered each other's belongings. It's so quiet and relaxing. The water was a beautiful combination of blue and green and you could see right down to your feet. Bring water shoes because it's very rocky!
This house also lets you bring your pet which is an added bonus. Our dog LOVED being out with us on the beach (which is allowed since it's private - lots of dogs!) and in the water. We really appreciated being able to bring her along.
The house itself was sufficient. There is no A/C and I had been a bit worried about that but there is usually a nice breeze (sometimes too much that you have to close the windows) and it wasn't uncomfortable at all. The house could use some updating with the furniture and lamps. The bedrooms could use ceiling fans to help keep air circulating. Any fans they let you use are old and not really enough to do the job (especially in the two smaller bedrooms).
All in all - I would recommend this home to others. For the location to the beach alone and the fact that you can bring your dog with you.
