Went with friends who go every Thursday. We went in before them. They were greeted warmly. It was nice to see their longevity appreciated. Don’t go hungry, because if you do, you’ll inhale the salsa and chips. We had a variety of dishes, some vegetarian. I was the only one not to finish mine (salsa & chips). This establishment has been there a long time and has survived years long construction. You may have time to prolong when you visit but don’t because you may want to go again. Good margaritas!

El Sarape has been serving great Mexican food in the little village of Weymouth Landing for the past 29 years. This is not a big Mexican restaurant chain. Do not expect massive quantities of tasteless food. The atmosphere is cozy. The food is delicious. The service is attentive. What more could you want? (Except maybe a place to park the car ... lol).

Finding good Mexican is hard and our search continues. We got in just i the nick of time before the wait began in the tiny bar/foyer. The service was sllooowww, even the quacolmole and cocktails which if we had we would’ve been a little more content.
The fish tacos were smothered in onions, yuck. No good sauce accompanied them. There was zero for my daughter, she can be picky but legit not even plain white rice. So chips and salsa was dinner for her
Nothing at all to write home about, still searching for good quality service and food in one place.

We have been here many times and it seems to be getting better. Four of us went here for lunch and were delighted and the seasonings and approach. The lunch menu is different and gives you some wonderful choices.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Massachusetts; not tex-mex rubbish but authentic Mexican food served in a friendly atmosphere. I had not been for nearly 20 years due to living abroad and it was just as good as ever; a rare treat in the restaurant business.
