As a British family having never been to Cape Cod, we weren't sure what to expect, so we were thrilled when we arrived at the Lamb & Lion. We had just spent 10 days visiting NYC and Boston, staying in swanky but soul-less hotels, and the L&L is the perfect antidote. Tom and Ali are the most personable hosts I've ever encountered, they provided fantastic advice and recommendations to us as new-comers, on where to eat, where to shop, the best beaches and even where to get the best views on the whale watching boat (you'll need to ask Tom this directly, he was spot on). To summarise, this is a great Inn, with very high standards of service and cleanliness, and we would go back in a heartbeat!

We've been vacationing on Cape Cod for years with family, but at this stage of our lives, we're looking for "peace". It was such a pleasure to find a quiet, "grown-up" atmosphere where no children were running up and down the halls or screaming & splashing in the pool (no one under 10 allowed here). Our children are grown & we love our grandchildren, but when we vacation, we're looking to "get away from it all" - the Lamb and Lion Inn fits the bill! We put in our order for breakfast the night before and had it "delivered" to us each morning poolside - it doesn't get better that! And....I'm a real "connoisseur" of Eggs Benedict & have had my share, so I believe I can safely say that Ali makes the best Eggs Benedict I have ever tasted!!! You have to try this place - you will be "happy" you did! Cathy G.

Room Tip: We stayed in Liar #4 - kind of away from the other rooms, as it was the last room at the end of a quiet hallway - hardly heard anything except footsteps the whole time we were there.

We spent the first night of our honeymoon here. Our dog, Mia, came along too. After battling Friday rush hour traffic through Boston following the wedding and reception we just wanted to usrelax. We pulled in and Tom reccomended the best local pizza. He guided us to our awesome room, The Innkeeper's Pride. It was so private w our own deck to the backyard. It had a kitchenette, walk-in closet, jacuzzi tub, shower, and vanity. The bedroom suite was so comfortable. Everywhere you look there is something to see. Nice touches everywhere. Beautiful gardenscapes. The next morning we woke refreshed and enjoyed the lovely continental breakfast spread.before continuing on our Cape Cod honeymoon. We will return as this inn has a special place in our memories and terrific hosts.

Room Tip: Innkeepr's Pride for privacy.

As frequent visitors to various places on Cape Cod, it was to our good fortune and great delight that we discovered The Lamb and Lion Inn in Barnstable for our most recent stay. The Inn is located in a tranquil rural area, is beautifuly appointed with modern amentities, and is centered with a beautiful pool area (where you can have breakfast outside). Tom and Ali, the proprietors, have tireless energy to make their guests be comfortable, address any requests that arise and have recommendations for all the sights and fine restaurants nearby. Additionally our dog was equally welcomed to stay with us during our visit which made it particularly special. We would highly recoomend this Inn if you want to just kick back and relax.

My husband and I have been traveling to the Cape for years for get-aways, and we always stay at the Lamb and Lion Inn. It's beautiful, comfortable, and the service is amazing. Tom is always there to check you in, make sure you're comfortable, and help you find all the fun things to do in the area. Breakfast in the morning is a treat - I would definitely recommend eating in the sun room and take advantage of whatever the daily breakfast special is. Allie can really cook! Rooms are beautiful and clean - we love Suite #9 or the Inn Keepers Suite (if you're really treating yourself). The pool is great, the jacuzzi and outdoor shower amazing, and you'll fall in love with the dogs. Stay here - you will not be disappointed.
