What do you do when you lose power in a storm for two days? It's cold, it's windy, you're hungry. First Watch. The entire Timonium population ended up at First Watch, the wait got up to an hour long. Once seated, we were met by a very relaxed waitress, considering there were only three cooks and a line of people waiting out the door. The place was buzzing with servers moving as quickly as possible. We're patient people so we didn't mind the wait for our food. The biscuits with turkey sausage gravy hit the spot. I expected it to be somewhat cold under the circumstances, but the meal was piping hot and delicious. The potatoes were great and the coffee hot and fresh. Our waitress did not make us feel rushed and she even stopped to chat a moment about how busy they'd been since the customers were seeking refuge from the power outage. She even had another job to go to in the afternoon, which impressed us further that she was so easy going. First Watch prides itself on its staff just as much as its food. Some of the waitstaff has been there since they opened their doors. That says alot for a neighborhood diner. It's our gem for breakfast, brunch and lunch! We're regulars.
