We celebrated my parents 65th anniversary. The house was close to everything so walking was easy. The house is charming, very well laid out, spotless and perfectly in keeping with the town. The open kitchen/dining/family area and back porch was made for perfect family gathering. The house is great for family celebrations, romantic getaways and rest and relaxation.
We loved this place. It is right between the center of town and the water, seafront restaurants and museum. Very peaceful, and a huge screened-in porch to enjoy the weather without mosquitos. It is a historic house, but it must have renovated recently because it seems like new.
From my first communications with the property owner all the way to the last day of my rental, I was absolutely impressed! This was for a rental reservation made at the eleventh hour and Thomas Byrne was extremely timely in responding to my requests, answered all of my questions, and put me at ease. The house was recently renovated to the extent where you can smell the freshly laid hardwood floors. Lots of period specific antique furniture pieces + several books on the area were scattered throughout the house. Very open floor plan that leads from one room to the next. Spacious bedroom upstairs with attached bathroom plus additional twin bed and sofa. The kitchen is gorgeous with a stainless steel fridge + washer/dryer combo + brand new granite countertops. There are new flat panel tvs in bedroom upstairs and living room. The screened in back porch has a set of rockers and was thoroughly enjoyed by my Chesapeake Bay Retriever (he enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching all the birdies in the back yard). In summary this is an excellent property and the owner was a delight to deal with from start to finish. Highly recommend! An A+ experience !
