This is actually a review of 2 separate visits to this restaurant, a week apart. Both visits were very similar as far as satisfaction goes. Two couples had dinner there on two weekday evenings. This is an informal family restaurant. We were all very satisfied with the food and the service on both visits. The only negative comment is that the French fries were not very hot or freshly made on the first visit. On the second visit, we asked the server to be sure that the fries were hot, and they were definitely hot. I plan on doing that on future visits also.
Some of us ordered sandwiches and some ordered dinners. The dinners were spare ribs and the sandwiches were filled with various meats. I felt like the spare rib dinners should have included cole slaw or some other side, but they didnt. The sizes of all the portions were generous. On both occasions, some of us took home doggy bags. Everything was tasty.
On both visits we had very good service from two different servers. They were also very friendly and pleasant.
On one visit, we ordered desserts. The dessert portions were not very large, considering the 7 or 8 dollar prices. We tried to split each of the desserts between two people like we often do, but each person got a fairly small portion.
The place was clean and not very noisy. We were seated almost immediately both times. I guess that is pretty typical for a weekday. A couple can eat there for about $35-45, not including drinks, taxes, and tips.
