A taste of France here in Maine. Nice menu. They have good wines at nice prices and a full bar. Lots of great French traditional food: crepes, quiche, steak frites. Macaroons and pot de creme for dessert.Very pleasant

A very late lunch (arrived at 2:30 PM), but 3-4 other tables still eating. Very relaxed atmosphere and a good location. Nice tables with good street views. We both ended up having their French burger with fries (brioche bun with fries). Burger was very, very good (it was actually medium rare) and the fries were excellent. A bit pricey, but a very pleasant and low-key meal.

Had a fabulous real authentic French bistro meal tonight at Petite Jacqueline. This is a sweet little place with large windows, marble tabletops, and great staff and service.
We both started with the frisée salad which was a generous portion of fresh greens, lardons, and egg. We’ve had this dish many places, primarily in New York, but this one excelled over any we’ve had elsewhere.
The mussels, were a large portion that was hard to finish even though they were delicious. The onion soup was authentic and good.
There’s a small but good wine list, all appropriate matches to the food.
This was a winner meal.

We had a great meal in a pleasant classy setting with all tables by the floor to ceiling windows looking out on old port. We started with a great selection of fresh oysters. Then a Lyonnaise Salad with bacon, lardons and whole deep fried egg. It’s a meal and the best salad I’ve had. Also fried cauliflower with mustard cream. Wonderful!! For entrée we had boeuf bourguignon and cassoulet with duck confit. An reasonably priced . I’m can’t wait to try the rest of the menu .
