Owner-Manager Myles and right hand Joanne received us with genuine warmth and eagerness to please. Myles provided us with a Maine-wide map, identifying key sites, as well as with insightful tips re area eateries, etc. Waiting for us were two clean, comfortable double beds (freshly made daily), a spotless shower stall, a perfectly functioning fridge, an equally modern TV (we used it for mid-September weather updates), 3 chairs, a small table and a coat & baggage rack. Myles even met our request for silverware to let us more efficiently enjoy local sea food right in the room. All four of us, incl. 2 kids aged 8 & 10, slept well, with little noise from Saco Avenue, probably helped by post-season traffic conditions. (Hint: Clothes pins, some scotch tape & 6'x6'-or-more 6-mil sheet of black poly will shut out porch lights public safety law forces the Lodge to keep lit all night!) The mid-September ocean was warm enough for body-surfing, at least for folks aware this ain't Mississippi.
