Sister was visiting NE for the first time from SC. She wanted to try the local pizza. Went to D's. She was blown away! For a pizzeria it was spotless! The staff in the open kitchen was very friendly, and the banter showed they were enjoying themselves. Then came the pizza, and it was great! A lot because of the pizza, and a lot because of the atmosphere. The menu was extensive and reasonable. Obviously a locals place as well as a favorite for vacationers.
A "can't miss!".

We stopped here for lunch, as it came highly recommended from a couple of locals. We were a group of five and ordered both a pizza and subs. All was very good. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

Isn't that why it's named D's? Seriously, I'm sure they are open for lunch too , but we've only been at dinner time. That said, we've been to dinner there a lot! Nothing hidden, kitchen is right out there in the open. Calzones, Pizza, fried plates, salads, even the occasional Corona with lime (ok maybe a couple!!). All GOOD, haven't had a bad thing there. As others say, nothing fancy but if you are looking for fancy, dig out your wallet, and look around. There are lots of choices in Conway and Fryeburg, and we go to D's pretty often. All clean, good sized portions, paid at the counter then served at a table (little numbered signs like they used to have at the drive-ins!)
Overall - a good experience at a good price with a good expectation that it will happen again!

Everything was o.k. ...but that was it. nothing special. The service was good, the restaurant and restrooms were nice and clean. Location is convenient. Prices were reasonable. The menu was well, what you would expect. No surprises, no panache.

Food wasn't bad but the owner-cook was terribly rude. We were charged more than the price listed on the board and, when I pointed that out, he told us that he raised the price but hadn't changed the sign yet. I told him that I wouldn't have ordered it at that price and expected to pay only what was listed. He then became irate, actually arguing from behind the grill telling me not to be so cheap.
Maybe he was just having a bad day but who needs that kind of service? This was our first time stopping there and will not return again.
