Excellent stay. Good accommodation nice touches such as small bottles of wine in the fridge and milk. Great beer and really good food. Friendly staff and really good customer service. Would stay here again if in this part of the country, highly recommended.

Was expecting to stay in small rooms above a pub and pleasantly surprised by self contained accommodation. Large rooms, each with en suite. Very clean with very comfortable beds and good linen. Great touches you dont expect with a pub or BnB - plenty of towels - 3 sizes for both occupants. Complimentary toiletries, excellent tea and coffee facilities with REAL milk in the fridges in the common areas. Complementary water, soft drinks and quarter bottles of red and white wine are an unexpected and master touch. Breakfast at the Hare Pie cafe adjacent to the rooms is excellent and beautifully presented. We booked all three rooms (only three available) for our family of 5 - 2 in their 20's and one teenager, Excellent configuration for us as we all had privacy but were together, Great job Simon and Claire.

The Bewicke Arms and accommodation have all recently been renovated very nicely. The rooms we had was large with a good size ensuite bathroom. Breakfast in the Hare Cafe as part of the room rate was FANTASTIC. Really. This represents excellent value and a nice place to stay.

For reference there are a grand total of 3 bedrooms so don't delay if you are thinking of staying!

As my old school chum and I had just had recent ‘notable’ birthdays our wives decided a nice trip into the Leicestershire countryside for an overnight stay and a good meal was something we’d all enjoy to celebrate the occasion.

The Bewicke Arms is in the picturesque village of Hallaton. Luckily our SatNav got us there without any trouble. We were greeted by the very pleasant and social landlord, Simon.

The accommodation was on the ground floor of a very nicely converted barn, which was clean and comfortable and just a few paces across the courtyard to the pub.

The bar had a good selection of drinks, which included some real ales. We dined in a room adjoining the bar, which had a lovely log fire blazing away – being a chilly evening we appreciated this. Between the four of us we chose a good variety of different dishes from the menu and without exception all were superb. This was all washed down with a couple of bottles of good wine from the sensible selection that was on offer.

In the morning breakfast was served in another converted barn, titled ‘The Hare Pie Café’. This is normally open during the day to serve walkers and passing cyclists. However, on this occasion it was our breakfast that the pub concentrated on and again provided lovely food, supplying whatever combination of breakfast we fancied.

Room Tip: My wife had a recent knee operation, so having a bedroom on the ground floor was ideal.

We stayed in this beautiful character pub in unspoilt countryside, excellent food and Simon our host was most attentive. We had personal attention over breakfast of delicious locally resourced fare in a relaxed atmosphere.
