It's a McDonalds with a twist because it simply does not look like any Golden Arches you have ever seen. Kudos to corporate for apporving such a wonderful design

The remodeling is simply great and the new way to order your food takes a few times to completely get but the new computerized system is user friendly and mistake proof. It is McDonald's food none the less but it does taste good. Their brand of coffee is so much better than Dunkin Donuts that it is worth the drive just for the morning cup of Joe.

We were looking for a place to have a cup of coffee and take a break while driving to Boothbay Harbor from New Hampshire. On the highway we saw a sign that said McDonalds and we followed the signs. The GPS indicted we had arrived but all we saw was a historic house, a minute later we spotted a small McDonalds sign and did a double take!
This McDonalds is actually in a historic house and the outside looks nothing like a McDonalds so we practically drove by it. The inside was very clean even has a fireplace!
It was very different from any other McDonalds I have driven past. The coffee was fresh and hot, we were glad we stopped here and was able to see this building

In the charming seaside town of Freeport, Maine lies a hidden gem of culinary delight! It is housed in a lovely colonial building, right in the bustling town centre, within easy walking distance of many inns and attractions.

If you are fortunate enough to score a reservation, you will be treated to an eclectic menu with such varied options as thinly sliced potato straws and flattened beef cooked fresh upon your arrival.

A warm staff will greet and serve you within minutes.

Drive through available.

How fun is it that this McD's was transformed through a historical home? It looks like a McDonalds inside, but the house part looks like a northeastern home's dining room. Good fast stop in Freeport!
