We had a wonderful pre-Christmas Trip to the Inn. It was our second stay here and once the children say the Inn, they didn't want to leave. The room was perfect, clean, room service, catered well to the kids wants - ages 9, 12, 16 - can be demanding! Breakfast was great and the Lunch Buffet in the Broad Arrow Tavern has endless choices to eat. We ended by eating at the Broad Arrow for suppers as well. Of course the shops are all within walking distance so my husband or I and the children walked in many directions several times, day and night. We have already book an April stay and can't wait. Thank you for the memories!!!

Room Tip: The room with the two double beds and couch sleeps 5 comfortably. We chose an Inn Room which was great so we could access the Gift Shop, Front Desk, and walk the grounds.

This was a great property and very close to all the outlet shopping in Freeport including LL Bean. The afternoon tea was wonderful and the restaurant/pub was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, and the room was very clean and comfortable. We were only there one night, but could have stayed longer!

I spent a few nights here just like Christmas. First off, it's in a great location. Just a quarter of a mile to the well-known L.L. Bean shopping center and around the corner is a movie theater along with a few small shops and cafes. It's a very beautiful town and when it's covered in white snow, it's like being in a small town that's placed under a Christmas tree. Staying at the Harraseeket Inn added to that experience. The room was very nice and had a nice view looking out at the snow covered trees. We were giving a small stocking stuffed with candy canes and chocolate, since it was Christmas. There's a nice restaurant and bar that serves a wide variety of delicious meals and drinks. It's a nice place to relax and meet nearby locals. The lobby has a few seating areas and a fireplace where the guest on business can stay warm and do some work. They have outlets for the computers if needed or you can just sit back with a nice book and the fire.

Christmas day, I had the buffet that had a wide range of food. From different kinds of meat to many desert choices (Eggnog Cheesecake was the best). I'm a vegetarian, but that didn't stop me. They had wonderful veggie dishes such as potatoes and collard greens with sweet potatoes. The breakfast is also good. Changes every morning too, so you don't know what you're gonna get until the following morning.

I enjoyed my Christmas stay here and look forward to more visits in the future. As I was checking out, I overheard several guest making reservations for next year and the year after. This is how good this Inn was. If you're visiting from out of state, be sure to plan your stay at this gracious inn and I promise you'll be in for a real Maine Inn experience unlike any other.

Thank you! We're glad you had such a memorable stay with us and got to see the village frosted with a blanket of snow! Very nice, especially over the holidays. We wish you all the best for 2013 and look forward to hosting you again!

This in is a great place to relax after a day of shopping, golfing, sking, fishing and the list continues. We have been coming here for years and find the inn clean and lavish, the fod is excellent and the staff caring and outstanding. The only thing keeping it from being truly five star is some needed refurbishing.

Thank you for sharing your review. We're planning another round of renovations this winter, which is the only time we can close down sections of the inn and get what needs doing, done! Our Maine Dining Room will be closed through the end of the month of January for a complete and long overdue renovation, but the Broad Arrow Tavern will be serving lunch and dinner as usual and we'll be seating for breakfast in our bright and sunny Casco Bay Room. We're also continuing with our guest room upgrades this winter. We hope the next time you visit you'll approve! All the best in 2013!

I take part in an academic program that uses the Harraseeket as its winter base. Oftentimes, hotels (especially the smaller ones) find large groups unwieldy. Not the Harraseeket. Mrs. Gray and Co. run a tight ship while managing to preserve, at the same time, an atmosphere of quiet elegance and charm. The staff are warm, courteous, and helpful. I remember one winter when my father died during the residency. The lady at the front desk (was it Penny?) was particularly compassionate and accommodating. I've stayed in hotels all over the world and I cannot say enough good things about this one.
