We heard about "Millie's" from a local and went two days in a row. A great amount of delicious food for very reasonable prices. Portions are big so order small or split your meal. Very friendly in there - staff and locals. Kitchen is right behind counter so you can see it all. Homemade bread and the second day they had just made biscuits that were fabulous. My friend had a raspberry pancake that was bigger than the plate so we all had some and it was fabulous. Not sure why others reviewed pancakes as a negative - we all thought it was the best pancake we'd ever had. Real maple syrup too! Two eggs, bacon, two big pieces of homemade bread toast for $3.50!! Home fries were great too.

Millie did everything! Takes orders, cooks, chats if you want, runs the register, and does the dishes.

She mentioned working as a chef at other restaurants, but loves to cook at her own place now, and to see people happy with what she makes for them.

Special lady, special place. Yes, everything is homemade.

Small and casual and the kind of place we love to find... enjoyed great breakfast and chance to chat with regulars. Will definitely return any time we are camping in the area.

friendly cook and waitress, simple diner food, priced below usual tourist places because the locals eat here. one of the friendliest little cafes in Downeast Maine. Santa eats here when he is in town. Well a guy who looks like Santa, and worked in New York city, may be seated next to you and relate to you his life story in a jolly old way. great place for local info.

This place is pretty much a two woman show. Very small cafe with great omelettes but much to be desired pancakes. While we were there one of the regulars came in and helped with the dishes while he waited for his breakfast. We then proceeded to hear a good portion of his life's story which we enjoyed listening to and he certainly enjoyed telling. I agree with a few other reviewers though: stay away from the pancakes.
