My wife and I took our two teenage boys (ages 13 & 15) out for a charter with Captain Don Mann on his 35-foot Ericsson sailboat. Our youngest had just taken sailing classes earlier in the summer and was interested while the 15-year old was waffling. All had a great time!! Don Mann is not only an experienced captain, but he has got a perfect personality for chartering, taught us all about the boat, how to handle it and even had us take turns steering. This was by far the best experience of our trip to Maine. We spent three hours in 15 to 20 knot winds on a stunningly blue summer day sailing on Penobscot Bay. This was so much better than being on a crowded schooner and well worth the price. We had the boat racing along, heeled well over and gave everyone the thrill of day's sailing on the bay, took in some of the sights and had some laughs. The boys were engaged and both of them loved it. I can't recommend Don enough and want to thank him again for a wonderful day on the bay.
