Sergio and his family were excellent hosts who all played a memorable part in our stay.

The food was AMAZING. I'm still dreaming about it. Excellent chefs in that household - restaurant standard, all natural and fresh produce - you can taste the difference.

Room was clean and creatively built, something very unique and different, which if like me - always looking for something new to try, you will love what it's all about. Importantly, it felt safe, secure and comfortable (Sergio explains how everything was made to be eco friendly - even the paint, incredible).

The stay was very organised, informative and reliable from the offset.

Sergio's son (who was round age 8) was our tour guide when visiting the local natural swimming pools which was so impressive.

Collective taxi to destination from tarrafel to Praia Branca €1.

Highly recommend the 30min stroll to the the Carberinho rock formations. 45min walk to local natural views. Explore the local town of Praia Branca. Hike to a taste the local grog. Sergio has lots of tours on offer including photography tours and more, just check out the Farinha de Pau website.

Definitely recommend and I'd go back again.

Sergio also offers massage!

He has a full menu with drinks (soft and alcoholic) reasonably priced and snacks including cake and more.

Sergio and Simone are delightful hosts and the cooking is excellent - do have an evening meal with them. Breakfast is also good. They have worked hard and built this with all local materials - Simone even made the bricks!
The rooms are simple, well-designed but not luxury in any sense. If you come expecting a hotel, you will be disappointed. Their project is being constantly developed, but they deserve success.
The eco credentials are established, but it is not a 'lodge'!
