Sergio and Simone's place is beautiful! It's amazing to see how nature has been used in their house and they deserve much respect when you know that most of it was built by their own hands starting from the eco bricks to the relaxing and modern interior, reusing as many as possible elements from their surroundings.
Simone's meals are delicious and we loved the feeling of being part of the family!...the dinners in the open veranda with everyone gave us the opportunity to know them better and exchange ideas... it's really a pleasure talking with them! (Naomi, their little girl, brings even more happiness to the place ❤️)
Their home is 20 minutes walking to a natural pool and we've been lucky to have their son, Leo, as our guide and 15 minutes by aluguer or hitch-hiking to Tarrafal, the port village with black sand beaches. If you like hiking, then don't hesitate to ask Sergio about the routes, he will give you plenty of information and options to choose. The mountainous area is breathtaking and worth visiting it!
We love the places where we enter as a guest and we leave as friends, and Farinha de Pau is definitely one of them❤️More
