“It's a joy!”
Reviewed 10 August 2018 for a stay in June 2018

Besides Seanook's beautiful location and wonderfully relaxing accommodations,
our hosts - Mary Ellen and Ron - could not be more helpful. It really is a joy to spend time there -- and we look forward to our next visit!

“Memorable- perfect for families”
Reviewed 6 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

Ron and MaryEllen are great hosts! They are very accommodating and are there if you need help with anything. Seanook is a beautiful and well equipped location. The views are amazing. Even on a rainy day it is a perfect place to be. This is our 8th year and our 3 kids look forward to it every year.

Thanks for the memories and more to come!

“Spectacular setting, cozy and private”
Reviewed 19 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

The Boothbay area is so appealing, with intriguing harbor views, quaint houses, shops and eateries. This property, uniquely situated right on the water, affords wonderful views from every room. Because the weather was so inhospitable, we spent less time exploring the area than we normally would, so having a warm, comfortable cottage to hole up in was appreciated. We did venture out to photograph a couple of lighthouses, and had some top-notch dining experiences -- Boathouse Bistro, Thistle Inn, Brass Compass (in Rockland).

When we travel, my husband and I usually are most interested in: a comfortable bed, privacy, great views, as well as proximity to birding, hiking, and other nature-oriented activities. Seanook delivers in each category. Birding from every room was a wonderful bonus. When we return for a warmer, sunnier experience, I'm sure we'll experience a spectacular sunset or two.

From our vantage point on the east shore of LInekin Bay looking west we do have many spectacular sunsets year-round. We also cherish our cloudy days for the ambiance of respite. Ideally, we would wish you some of each as each has its own charm. Likewise, with every season; the experience is always different. Birding varies also as our populations change throughout a year. Seanook's Availability Calendar here or on our website will guide you as to a time you might visit.

“Comfortable cottage in a beautiful location”
Reviewed 13 March 2018 for a stay in March 2018

This cottage is welcoming and comfortable, and is literally on the water. The tides go in and out on 3 sides of the house making it feel like you are a part of the ocean. Waterfowl abound, and the views are spectacular. Relaxing, peaceful and surrounded by natural beauty. The owners are very thoughtful and helpful with any questions you might have. Lots to do in the area no matter what season.

Waterfowl are particularly abundant in Winter, but populations change with the seasons; any time of year is interesting. There is always plenty to see and do. In Winter you might want to just tuck in and watch snow waft across the water. However, Boothbay is on top of plowing; if you want to go out you can.

When you are at Seanook, the tides of Linekin Bay envelop you on three sides, as do the open skies, weather, and sunsets. Enjoy the relaxation of observing nature up close while staying toasty warm on the inside of the glass. When the temperature mellows, go on out and immerse yourself in the fresh salt air; go for a kayak paddle, fish, or perhaps even take a dip, if you're inclined. Or just relax and take it all in.
