“Fantastic home away from home”
Reviewed 10 October 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Our stay at Echline View was fantastic. The host went above and beyond to make sure that our stay went well. We were travelling with our two young children and it had everything we would possibly need.

THE HOUSE
The house was perfect for us. Knowing that we had two small children in tow, the host made sure to leave out toys for them to play with. The living room was cosy and comfortable, the kitchen had literally anything you would ever need to prepare a meal and the bedrooms were wonderful. The bunk bed in the second room was particular useful with our little ones and made them feel like they were having a great adventure. The back garden was the perfect space for them to run around and gave me the reassurance of knowing they were contained.

THE LOCATION
South Queensferry is a lovely spot and the house was centrally located so that nothing was more than a 17 minute walk away. You could catch the bus to Edinburgh from two different spots (neither was more than a 10 minute walk). There was a playground in the neighbourhood and the library and pubs in South Queensferry were about 15 minutes on foot. We didn't need a car at all. The Tesco was the furthest away, but it was only about 17 minutes and the Marks and Spencer petrol station boasts a wide variety of ready-made foods and drink and is only about a 5 minute walk. There is also a McDonalds right by the petrol station if you're in a pinch or don't want to cook.

OVERALL
I would highly recommend staying at this location. The home entirely met our needs and we had a lovely time with our stay. The neighbours are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks again!

“Cosy and welcoming”
Reviewed 12 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The house is ideal for families or couples, very well equipped, warm, with a lovely comfy bed! It's ideally positioned for exploring the Highlands and it's easy to get to Edinburgh on the bus. Good local facilities and South Queensferry is about 10 mins walk. The boat trip round the Firth of Forth is recommended!

“An excellent house for a holiday.”
Reviewed 21 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in 8 Echline View. The decoration and furnishings were of a very good standard and it was beautifully clean and tidy. There was good supply of kitchen and bathroom disposables and everything we needed we had at hand. Remarkably for a house on a large estate, we found it a very quiet and restful area. The garden was attractive and well kept.
We thought South Queensferry a beautiful and picturesque town (and the Scotmid supermarket a real gem!) There are excellent bus and rail services (we used the train and the fare was very reasonable) and found it an ideal way to visit Edinburgh. With the crossings over the Forth so close, it is a very good place to explore this part of Scotland.

“Great location. Fully equipted. Well communicated with Edinburgh.”

We spent last week in Scotland. We decided to settled our base camp at South Queensferry, a nice and quiet city at just 20 minutes by bus to the bustling center of Edinburg. We were lucky to rent this beautiful house with fantastic views to both Forth's bridges. The house has got everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay, and the bus stop is only at 1 minute walking. There is also a TESCO supermarket at walking distance. And for any "emergency" you have a Mc Donald at 5 minute walking.

Melanie, the landlord, helped us in everything we needed. She gave us such a lot of useful information and even she took time to find us a people carrier for all the family.

I would strongly recommend you to stay at this house if you are planning to visit Edinburgh. Very quiet place, but well communicated with the capital center

Stayed here the last week in August. Very handy for trains into Edinburgh and a nice pleasant spot to stay. Lots of local information available and books/toys available for children. Playground nearby for the little one. Owners friendly and very helpful.
