Whilst the purpose of our visit was not tot observe the night sky it was nevertheless one of the highlights of our visit. The number of stars which can be seen with the naked eye standing just outside the cottage is tremendous due to the lack of light pollution.
We found the cottage comfortable and the three ensuite rooms avoided any friction about how long anyone was in the shower. The beds were all comfortable and there was an ample supply of clean linen. The kitchen had every device we needed and ample pots, pans and crockery.
The cottage is out of the way but the reward is stunning views of the lakes and Inchiquin waterfall.
The owner,Anne, could not do enough for us. She rang a couple of times during our stay to make sure everything was ok. When our return ferry was cancelled she sent her brother to make sure we were aware.
Overall a good place from which to tour the Wild Atlantic Way.
