Hotel was great. They had a nice breakfast..even have gluten sensitive items. Our view was fantastic..we had dinner in our room saturday night moved the table and chairs so we could sit in front of window of room . We watch canoe and boaters while we ate. We had no issues with our room just with John, apparently he doesn't know how to approach guest with issues that he should have investigated first. He approached us and another guest with unnecessary things with rude remarks. The room was very clean our house keeper Nancy Cummins was very sweet ..they all greeted us that morning on our way to breakfast..All English speaking as well. I will stay here again and hope John is not there. All in All a very good location and view..with a very nice staff ..1 bad apple is the only reason i gave it a 3 he was the talk of the night amongst a few guest

Room Tip: it was very noisy but was to be expected. A lot of kids at this particular weekend

This is a great place to stay in Lafayette. Extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. You are within walking distances to great restaurants right on the. River with a great hot tup and swimming pool.i love this hotel when in the Lafayette area.

Long time Marriott card holders, because I like to stay in a clean nice comfortable room Our first time to stay at a Fairfield We like to check in early and leave early .WE WAS TOLD THAT WE COULD GET A CALL WHEN HE ROOM WAS READY , BUT NEVER DID . The rooms on this property was large but felt empty , our room had a stale odor , the air condition ran all night and never cooled the room . Slamming doors at 2am didn't help. Our preference is first floor but didn't get it , I couldn't wait to leave this place . I don't recommend this place

Hotel was not a good fit for us. Check in staff was super friendly but hotel has some issues. Cleanliness is my top priority and this is an older hotel with some things that could be improved on ....first impression is always the elevator which had awful carpeting that was stained...room, well...small and bathrooms are really small. We had a bug problem which was frustrating too but it was late and we had already prepared for bed so killed what we could and hoped for the best overnight. Mentioned it in the morning to front desk and they were very apologetic and made things right with us which we appreciate. I am confident it is not a normal occurrence but non the less it soured my review.

We stayed here three nights and were pleased with this hotel. Nice safe location, very convenient to everything we did in Lafayette.

Our room was on the smallish side, but clean and comfortable. Not much closet or bathroom space compared to some Marriott properties. But the air-conditioning worked great, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Three very comfy nights of sleep!

We really enjoyed the outdoor hot-tub (but the pool was way too cold to even step in!). Front-desk provided the pool towels. Maid-staff came every day and did a good job of cleaning. Breakfast was pretty average, but decent overall.

All staff members were friendly and helpful. Thanks, Marriot, for another great stay!
