This is a great destination to go for a weekend drive or cycling trip. The owners are very pleasant. Its just nice to sit on the back patio, talk with strangers, and get back to a time where you can just soak it up not connected. Their events and festivals are fun too, but expect to see a lot of people at the popular spot. The yard art will give you something to talk about. Hit Bg Bone Lick park on the drive in

Thanks Erich, we enjoy speaking to almost everyone that comes out, or we try. We really enjoy hearing how people discovered us and taking the time to come out and visit us. Over the 13 years we have been open we have heard many:) Thanks again for the kind words and the support!!

We went to Jane's upon recommendation of friends. It's a beautiful drive and Jane's is a cute building. We did not venture out to the petting zoo etc. so I can't speak to that at all. Upon entering we found the menu is written on a chalk board and you order at the counter. Not a huge selection but okay. All of us ordered some type of drink and didn't find out until later that drinks are help yourself from the counter and they don't offer any tea, lemonade or fountain items. (No big deal but would have been nice to know when ordering). Our food was adequate at best. The hamburgers were okay but appeared to have been grilled earlier and warmed up. The side was potato salad and fruit which was fine but nothing to speak about. My husband ordered the special which was baked spaghetti and the portion was ridiculously small. He was literally finished before I started. Overall the food isn't that good, the service is non existent and the portions are small.

Years ago this was the place to go. Friendly people, great homemade food and excellent prices. Fast forward to today. Overpriced food ($9 for a marginal, overcooked hamburger, dried out bun and small bag of potato chips). Small portions. I was so disappointed that I certainly would never recommend this place to anyone to stop and eat.

If you're looking for somewhere to stop for something to drink and to stretch your legs, or attend one of their events it might be okay as the setting is lovely.

We love to find fun and funky places to go on the weekend. On a trip down 42 we saw a sign for Janes Saddlebag. We checked out the website which was great, and thought this might be fun. The next day we drove 40 miles down lovely country roads to Janes. We thought it would be a fun adventure. Upon arrival, it looked like everything we were hoping for. It was very a country, Gatlinburg like home town place.

Unfortunately, it was the first annual sweet festival. We entered Janes, and there was a temporary menu pasted above the usual one featuring cheeseburgers, which was fine. We saw the ad for the Mastadon Burger, and were ok with that. $40.00 later, (4 burgers 4 soft drinks and 4 bags of chips), we were woefully disappointed. Very meager overlcooked burgers...no relation to the dinosaur they were named after.

To make matters worse, we wanted to visit their gift shop, but were told we could not shop their gift shop unless we paid $10.00 per person to enter the first annual sweet festival. We politely joked with them saying we had no interest in the festival, but would like to shop and see the various wines that were on their website. We even explained that we drove 40 miles just to do this. "Sorry, we can't help you". SERIOUSLY? We could not shop in their gift shop unless we paid to get into to the festival? We ate overpriced awful hamburgers and were prevented from actually spending more money there unless we paid $10.00 per person more?

Sorry Jane, your website is old country and welcoming, but your reality is ridiculous.

A wine and bourbon maker, this is a family friendly attraction complete with petting zoo, playground, and a child sized "town" that includes a photo-op jail. A restaurant featuring homemade food and a small General Store. Parking is in a pasture and the downpour on our visit caused cars to struggle with the mud, but a handy tractor pulled people out quickly. We came for the wine festival, but noticed that the petting zoo was not included with admission and was an extra cost of $8 which seemed pretty pricey to us. Not sure if that's the regular cost or it was part of the Children's Hospital fund raising. We may visit again one pretty (dry) day to see what the non-festival offerings are available. It's a lovely drive through the country to get there.
