Recently visited for an 8th birthday party and we had a great time! Lots of stuff to do for the kids! They had a petting zoo, play ground area, restaurant, shelter with live music and a fun play area that looked like a little town! Great for a fun weekend day with the family!

I really expected more from this place. It is just a few little buildings on a property. One is a little restaurant, one sells wines, one for antiques and across the road they have some very, old tired animals you can pet. Not worth the drive for me. The lady working in the restaurant was very nice though.

We met friends at Jane's on a Friday night. We sat out on the patio and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. They all got steak which was the special and I ordered a brat. The food as good and fresh....nothing super fancy. My husband and I also purchased a bottle of wine with dinner. The cost including wine was very reasonable. It felt like being in someone's home for a cookout! We will definitely go back and take the grandchildren.

My husband and I visited Jane's Saddlebag on Sunday, and enjoyed a pleasant, sunny afternoon. We started with a tasting at the wine bar, selected a sweet white, collected our wine chiller and went outdoors to listen to the open jam blues and classic rock band. We danced a little, and then ordered a "Nancy's Salad" (which was large enough to share), a side of homemade mac n' cheese, and a piece of homemade coconut cream pie. The music ended at 6pm, and we made our way across the meadow to the water's edge where we sat and watched the boats going in and out of the adjacent Boone's Landing to the Ohio River. We learned that the open jam happens every Sunday thru October--we plan to be back.

4 Adults visited Jane's Saddlebag to see if it would be a good place to take our grandchildren. It was an hour drive from our home. The wine shop was only open until 5 PM. The buildings on the grounds were very small. The kids play area was toddler size. It would cost $5-6 for a child to see a few animals & play in the kids area. The restaurant was out of steaks. We tried the burger and it was okay, nothing special. We ate outside on paper plates and plastic silverware. I can't picture eating a steak with plastic silverware. Not a place to bring our 9 yr old granddaughter.

Kathy D,
Im sorry about your 1 hr drive, we post all our hours via website, Facebook, linkedin, twitter and more so people know what is open and when, and sorry you missed the wine shop. We encompass many acres so I'm sure you didn't get a chance to see everything, usually that takes a couple visits. We have charged the same amount for the petting zoo since 2004 which is cheaper than parking at most places and the Kids Playland is for toddlers. Sorry we sold out of steak, this tends to happen often. We recommend to make reservations, for sometimes when the weather is nice we can have quit abounch of people showing up and getting our well know steaks, specially since we started selling our own seasoning back in 2012. All people whom order the steak it does come with a plate and metal silverware for common sence reasons, again we apologize that you didn't get to experience it. Please come back and I'm sure your visit will be different.
