I stayed in the local b and b so ate in the local pub.

Really good food highly recommended.

First night service was by two young ladies that lacked experience so was a little iffy.

Second night fantastic, attentive but not in your face. Young lady and gent who knew how it should work.

Double bacon cheese burger and sticky toffee pudding highly recommended.

We're up in the East Midlands and frankly I can't understand where everyone goes on a Saturday evening. Outside the town centres the roads are quiet, and the pubs are even quieter.

You're all missing a treat at The Willow Tree - lovely staff, great service and delicious food. We had a warm sit beside a log burner in a pub that oozed charm. So sad not to share it with you! We both opted for a black pudding potato cake starter; hubby had the sea bass but as usual I opted for the steak and ale pie. Frankly chef couldn't have crammed more succulent slow-cooked beef into that case if he had tried. It was the best I've had in a long time.
Well worth the trip.

We went here on a Friday evening. Friendly welcome and good service. The only disappointment was the leek and potato soup which was rather watery and tasteless. The rest of the meal was delicious. The flat iron steaks were cooked exactly as we asked and the chips were proper, home-made chips. The sticky toffee pudding was also excellent. Reasonably priced too.

Once again an excellent meal, we both had the spicy chicken made with real chicken breast, not a processed burger, with salad and chips. Love the chips, salad is fresh with a nice dressing on, the burger has a lovely spice to it with some salad added. Service is good, the staff are lovely, this is a lovely pub serving some very good food. We are becoming regulars.
