Looking for a place to stay and I was tired of driving. Wound up in Bardstown. Found this place because of a sign on the highway that said lodging. Stopped in the Walmart parking lot and googled the place and it seemed ok, so we took a chance. Such pleasant people at the desk. Ring the bell, you're not allowed in the office...covid...or the pool...covid...or use the ice machine...covid. Rooms have been updated with new flooring and bath fixtures. It is clean as a whistle with good AC and plenty of space. Beds are comfy. Clean campus too. Wifi is in and out, but the TV works. Honestly, we're never going back to Kentucky but if we did, we'd stay here again for sure.

Great value . Rooms were clean and updated. Beds were covered in zip up fabric mattresses which shows they are conscious of cleanliness .. Keep in mind this is an older hotel but we were pleasantly surprised for our our one night stay.

In the past few years I have steered away from the "local owned" discount motels.

But I will have to say we were pleasantly surprised! The price was a great value and the room and property was very clean and maintained.

The (free) breakfast isn't much. But there is a McDonald's about .01 mile away.

If you are looking for a clean place to stay at a fair price while in Bardstown then this place is worth it!

First off we got there early to check in they told us to come back at 2:00, we did then room wasn’t ready told us to come back at 4:00 and they were confused about if it was ready!! They were understaffed and basically didn’t know what they were doing.
Then we decided to have a drink at The tavern we waited ten minutes to have someone wait on us. Finally had to wave at the waitress to get her attention. Ordered cheese fries it was very small with barely any cheese on it. Not impressed with this place at all. Will not be back.

I really enjoyed this Inn. The check-in was so easy (took less than 2 minutes). Our room was on the first floor, very convenient to our car. I was worried it would be noisy, since there was a large wedding party there, but we slept great! I really enjoyed the added bonus of a pool - it was so nice to relax there after a long day of taste-testing bourbon. Very close to "downtown" Bardstown and less than a mile away from HeavenHill distilleries. I also loved the added touch of jade shampoo & soap, made in India. It smelled great and was a step up from the usual. They provide a small continental breakfast which is nice. In the summer, they don't provide blankets, just the sheets and a decorative quilt. Some people may want more, so the front desk can get you a blanket in no time. Last note: The mattresses are protected with a plastic coating. I like this because it means the place is cleaner and no bed bugs, but it can make the rustling plastic sound. It did not bother me, but perhaps Old Bardstown Inn can maybe add an additional layer? Loved this little Inn for the price, location, and service!

Room tip: Bring your swimsuit and pool towels! Great pool.
