Visit this pub frequently, the established owners have now built a great reputation for amazing food, cold beer, and just great country service. It's unique witch makes it differnt from your average country pub. Be sure to ring and book you're self in for a tasty meal or just call in for a cold beer great variety of wine and nice friendly locals.

Stayed at Morgan for the Easter weekend, and wanted a pub where we could have a nice meal and watch the football without all the crowds. Quick google search found this great hotel 20km out of town.

Publicans Peter and. Tracey where great. Booked a table and great response to emails etc.

Meals were fantastic the pub itself is full of character and old country charm.

It's one of those towns that you have probably passed a hundred times on your way to your destination and just have your blinkers on.

Well worth the stop to drop in.

Not a town many travellers stop at, but that is their loss. In the heart of bluebush country, about 140km north-east of Adelaide, not far out of Morgan and the Riverland, this is a pub with a long and interesting history.

Peter and Tracey will make you very welcome, and the food is wonderful. The Lamb Rack is juicy and tender; just beautiful. But the Saltbush Mutton Pie is sensational; one of the most delicious things I have ever tasted. Rich and full of flavour, with nice chunky chips and a tasty salad. Do yourself a favour!

Unfortunately, I only get over to this area a few times a year, but try to make sure I get to Mt Mary Hotel whenever I do.

When I thought all was lost with regards to the Aussie outback pub, all being taken over by rich city folk as a hobbie and not much more than an interest in drinking and tekking their yuppy friends " we own a pub" along comes the Mount Mary Hotel.
Set inbetween Morgan and Eudunda with its cluster of homes scattered around it an old railway stop is like a beacon on a dark winters night.
The place hits you when you enter like you have jumped out of Marty Mcfly,s Delorean into the good old days. Stop and take a look around at whats hanging on the walls thats our history right there.
Do not however expect a good old dollop of pub grub. You will however get a top class resaurant meal and very very cold beer.
Frienship comes not only from behind the bar but the locals, once you break through the apparently tough skins are very friendly and will keep your conversation very interesting as long as you choose to linger at this great watering hole.
Give it a try and y,all will go back for more. :-)
