I feel really awful saying anything bad because the campground is everything everyone said, clean, convenient, nice friendly owners and good restaurant, BUT, the thorny weeds are everywhere, and they were especially bad around my site. I tried carrying my small long hair dog to an area that looked good, keeping her on a very short leash and she still ended up with thorns everywhere. My short haired dog didn't get very far before he was standing with his paw in the air from the thorn stuck between in his pad. My fingers are chew up from pulling these things off the dogs. Yes, you do get a very specific warning in writing when you check in, and I know that these weeds are hard to control, but it would be nice if the owners would clear a small area for their canine guests. I'm sorry to say I can't return for the safety of my dogs.

The owners are very nice and accommodating. The campground has everything you need for your stay. Captn Jack's Pub is on the property. We had a wonderful dinner in the pub after a long day's drive thru Kansas. I would stay here again.

This is not a destination park where you stay and tour what is in the area. This is a destination where you spend a night on your way to somewhere, or on your way home. Convenient off the highway with a gas station and a couple of places to eat.

The sites are mostly pull through, and they are level and gravel. There is plenty of room between sites, and the hookups are convenient. The cable tv worked okay, and the wifi was typical - not very good. Verizon cell service was good. They have a pool and a hot tub, and as a bonus an on site restaurant (very good).

The check in was smooth with Jessie providing the information about the park, and an explanation about the rules with a no nonsense delivery (she gives the same introduction to everyone).

Absolutely the best. Everything you need is right here. Perfect for an overnight stay. Great access to Highway. Very clean and quiet. We will definitely stay again
Stayed in a 40 foot 5th wheel. Only negative is the little sand spurs. That's a normal in western Kansas.
