Very interesting trip. Been there with my mother and teenage sister and we all loved it. The tours are well-organised, the guide is extremely enthusiastic and funny and the animals are just great, you can see how well they are doing in the park. We learned a lot about the moose overall and about the animals living there - Olivia's such a sweetie! It was like a petting zoo for grown-ups, however pretty suitable for childern. Café was a nice stop for refreshment, plenty of parking spaces, the personnel is very helpful and talkative, and there are many lovely things in the gift shop.
One and only downside was the journy in there, such an amazing place would definitely deserve more arrows and directions in the nearby towns and on the roads.
We visit Scandinavia for ten years, visited many zoos and parks and this one belonged to the best, my stamp on that, guys, definitely worth it ;)
Embodying one aspect of Swedish culture (compassion), the moose farm experience is very Swedish. The moose man is very enthusiastic and allowed us to touch the moose as we sat on a tractor. The restaurant serves amazing food including waffles. The souvenir shop sells cute souvenirs. I'd totally recommend this one :)
It's a great Weekend outing😄. The moose man is incredibly enthusiastic and you can sit in a tractor and enjoy seeing the moose in the wild. There's also a restaurant (the waffles are amazing) and a souvenir shop. You can walk up to the moose farm from the bus station or take a taxi. A lovely experience :-)
This was a great experience! Was there with my two nephews and we did not expect such a great tour with the "Moose man" himself. During the moose tour you sit on a big wagon which is hauled by a tractor. The tour is leading you directly into the mooses home. There the you stop a couple of times and get the chance to touch a moose. Furthermore is the moose man sharing a lot of interesting information about the animals and the park in both Swedish and English.
There is also a little cafe and souvenir shop.
I didnt exactly know what kind of Moosesafari I was going to when we went here so I was very suprised. Everything was very nice, from the signs already at the big silos/heating plant next to the road (drove by car from Västerås) to the small clear moose signs so that you couldnt miss where to go. Then when we came into the area, good clear signs where to park the car.
Then we met a nice woman who was eager to help and inform us in the store/reception. We bought a "wienerbröd" meanwhile we took a look at a babymoose (4-5 months old Pelle who was saved from the wild when his mum died in a trafficaccident).
Then the tour started and it was amazing. Even though I am from Sweden I learned quite a lot about the moose. And I touched one for the first time. And the owner/guide was a good peopleperson who was clearly living his dream and because of that he inspired everyone in the audience. Brilliant! I strongly recommend a visit to this park.
It cost 200 SEK for a grown up and 100 SEK for a child. You can buy coffee, tea, alcoholfree drinks and some "kaffebröd".
Been to a number of Moose Parks in Sweden, this is one of two I actually rate. This is great if you want to meet a Moose close up... and I mean close up. Your guide, the "Moose Man" himself is an entertaining host, who clearly knows his facts, and you can see that the animals are well cared for, and at ease with their surroundings. This is a place you must visit.... although, I would suggest booking in advance as tours are at set times via a Tractor Land Train. Great for young and those who are a little more mature, but, children at heart.
