This place is nice and close to the interstate and the mall. We were here for a conference and it didn’t allow for a ton of people but it was a nice facility. Nice lobby and staff as well. Just don’t go to the smaller Marriott next to it that’s a miniature spin off. It’s confusing.

For the past few years, our daughters have chosen to have their birthday parties at a hotel. They have some friends come swim and 2 or 3 girls stay the night in the room with my daughter and I.
This time, we booked a room at WDM Marriott. I called to see if it was ok for her friends to come swim with us (3 other girls aside from the 2 staying the night) and was very rudely informed that “they typically only allow hotel guest, but they would let us go ahead and do that.” I have no problem if that is the rule. If that is the case, just politely tell me no. Don’t be snotty to me and then act like you are doing me some huge favor.
I also asked if there was a common area where we could eat pizza and cake and was told there was a patio off the pool area.

When we arrived, check in was quick and easy. We were given a room on the top floor because of our gold status. But the concierge lounge is closed on Saturday nights. We were given 2 free breakfasts the next morning instead.

The room was fine. Clean, spacious and comfortable beds.

There was absolutely no place for us to eat pizza and cake. There was no patio off the pool. (Maybe there was supposed to be, but it was literally a slab of concrete with no tables or chairs.) We were told food and drink were not allowed in the lobby area because of the restaurant, so we ended up eating in the pool area (which was sweltering).
The pool area was nice and I thought the overall condition of the hotel was nice.
Breakfast was average, but pricey.

Next time we will go back to Hilton Garden Inn where we are not hassled about friends joining us, and there is a common room right next to the pool.

We have traveled for years using Marriott, several travel sports and we use the common areas to unwind after games. After hours of relaxing a new shift came on and tried stating that we could not drink our own beverages even though we were not in their restaurant area. Sadly a large disconnect between management. I would not recommend this location for any large groups or teams.

We stopped in on our way from Toledo to Denver. When we arrived the lobby isn’t really a lobby, it’s more like a hallway. We had to wait a bit for someone to recognize that we were standing there waiting to check in. The lady at the front desk apologized and said she was sitting in a spot where she couldn’t see us, my thought was why would you be sitting in a spot where you couldn’t see someone at the front desk if that was your job? She did however upgrade our room, so I forgave her. Hotel is a bit outdated, but very comfortable. It definitely met our needs.

I've stayed at this hotel often and have never been disappointed. Rooms are quiet no matter if you are close to the elevator or not. Front desk is always friendly, efficient and helpful. The meeting rooms are close and comfortable.
