We booked the king suite several months ago for our Anniversary. We stay at many different hotels throughout the year and we were expecting an average suite.
We were very (pleasantly) surprised when we walked into our room!!!

It is by far the best hotel room we have ever booked!

There are 2 things that could have been better: the hallway smells like wet dog. Have no idea why.
The food in the restaurants could be better.

We were here for two days. Payback on slots is horrible and that was observing other players also. We hadn't been in here in over 3 months and what that means is you drop off the radar as far as some comps. After losing profusely we still had to pay for our room, just to add insult to injury....what a joke. Even when you're on the mailing list it's a joke for coupons. A few minor dollars off this and that, they only honor competitors coupons for rooms Mon-Thurs and it does not include suites, another joke.
Another strange thing here we've noticed after several visits, you will not get a casino host assigned to you. Have never found this in over 30 years of going to any casino. That's how they get by without giving much in comps. Very clever or so they think.

Why they would not honor competitors coupons for suites is beyond me. These are the players you want. They come with money. It's just backwards management, they think they have something really great and they don't. That's what I get from it.

They have these strange purple high back chairs at the slot machines with an odd curve at the back top of them. I must have been bumped in the back at least 10 times from people walking through hitting the back of my chair. My wife about half that.

The temp of the casino floor is cold. You would almost swear someone had a window or door open. This is the middle of Nov and yeah it's cold outside. We're certainly not that elderly where colder temps would bother us, but my guess is rather than pay for a clean air system they take the cheap route out of pumping in outside cold air to cut the smoke in the place. That's being cheap.

We would avoid this property and advise others to do the same. Never thought another property could be worse than Isle of Capri....but it is.

We mentioned at the front desk because we did not have a hotel directory book in our room. Drove us crazy trying to find it. We were told they were all removed from the rooms because the information in them was no longer correct and they were in the process of making new ones...nice!

The rooms are nice, but before they become outdated, they may want to start updating. Some of the curtains are not on all the hooks, and furniture is getting gouges on them. I really enjoy the casino, but would like to see some big winners and so are few and far between. The cafe is fine, but I fill over priced.

We went to Riverside casino for the first time to see Bill Engval! His show was very enjoyable and hilarious. Upon returning to our room there was noise coming from the suite at the end of the hall. This went on until 4 in the morning. The whole floor was up all night!!! The hotel was full, could not move to another floor. Sent a letter to the manager in which his reply was, yes we had multiple complaints and sorry your stay was not satisfactory. Hope to see you soon! Are you kidding me? But they were not going to do a thing to try to make things right. I know several people that will not return! 200.00 to stay up all night? No thank you! Will be glad to stay elsewhere!

The rooms at the hotel are spacious and inviting. I always enjoy staying and rest well. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet. The showers are very unique and were a little awkward at first but after staying several times, I have learned to adjust. We have definitely had some great times there and plan on staying more frequently in the future. The only downside is the staff members are not very friendly. The choices of quality dining in the area is very limited.
