We recently spent a night at the Historic Park Inn Hotel on our way to northern Minnesota. What a treat! It's just a beautiful hotel and every nook and cranny and all of the décor reminds you that it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Our room, a king overlooking the park, was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed. The bed, with incredibly soft sheets, was very comfortable. Our only quibble with the room is the tiny shower, but it was a very minor annoyance.
We played a game of pool and had a couple of drinks in the lounge, and then had dinner at the 1910 Grille. I'm always leery of hotel restaurants, but this one was excellent. I'd definitely dine there again.
And last but not least, the staff is quite warm and friendly. They seem genuinely proud of their fine hotel, and helped make our stay such a pleasure. The next time we are looking for a little getaway we'll definitely consider the Historic Park Inn again.More
