“Local Baseball at its Best”

Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium

We have been going to games here before it became the South Bend Cubs.
The renovations and upgrades made to the park have really put it into the #1 spot to visit for locals or out of town visitors.
Watching a game here is inviting/relaxing and never boring.
The food is great and there is something for everyone of all ages.
The staff are knowlegeable/helpful and can be found every where. Even when trying to find a place to park.
The big plus is you never know who you may see or meet from the Chicago Cubs when they are here to use the athletic center or taking a turn on the diamond.
One thing missing, for me at least, is the ivory. I would love to see a section of it growing some where in the park.
Perhaps a place where pictures could be taken? But of course supervised to keep idiots from stealing a leaf or two.
Perhaps the gift shop could offer ivory leaves encased in lucite to sell.
Ivory or not, Watching the South Bend Cubs at the new facility is a treat for all to enjoy at least once.

Facility has been at this location for 20+ years. Since current owners took over, they have made multiple improvements. They are currently adding shopping and apartments. Every home game offers fireworks after the game.

Plentiful beer and baseball park eats with plenty for the family to do during the game when the action becomes boring.

Let's get the painful admission out of the way: I'm a Cardinal fan and therefore hate the Cubs.
Having said that, I love going to Four Winds Field. I've been going here since high school, but only recently with a family. We go at least once a year....and really can't compliment what they have done here enough. This year we went on the last home game of the year and stayed for fireworks. I mean, this place is really great for an evening out. Lots to do for kids of all ages, and all of it not too terribly expensive. The quality of the baseball isn't that great, to be honest....but it is A ball, so expectations can't be that high. And at least for our family, baseball is just a backdrop anyways. The kids want to spend most of their time in the bounce area or on the play ground. We spend usually 2 innings max in the seats. Lawn seats are a good buy for the little ones as well. Down side, really, is the time of day most of these games are played. Very rarely can we make it to the end of games because they can go quite late. But it doesn't matter. Still lots of fun, and the park is to be commended for providing great atmosphere for the entire family. Even if you're rooting for the Cubs!
