The Mennonite- Hoff was a great place to visit. We had a guided tour with narratives explaining the history of the Amish people, the Mennonites, and explaining the differences between them. It was a very interesting tour and was under $10.00. There is a small gift shop with beautiful handcrafted items made by Amish people. I would recommend it to People me of all ages.

We always wondered the difference between Mennonites and Amish. Well, now we know. The guy at the register in the gift shop welcomed us to the tour. There was guy standing next to him. I asked the first guy, "What's the difference between Mennonites and Amish?" He said, I'm wearing contemporary clothes and I have a mustache to go with my beard. The gent next to him had a beard but no mustache. So there you go. Honestly, great, comprehensive and well done combination of guided and self tours at this museum. Next time we're in town, we'll go back and finish the tour.

We learned a lot about the Amish and Mennonite communities and how they came to be in the area. Very well organized and easy to understand displays.

The information presented explained the difference between the Amish, Mennonites, and the Hutterites .. and their beginnings starting from Martin Luther's Thesis that were nailed to the Roman Catholic Church Door.

If (like me) you don't know much about the Amish and Mennonites, this is a great place to learn some basics. The videos and displays are well thought out and engaging, and the guides are very friendly and interested in hearing your questions and ideas. Would definitely recommend.
