I celebrated my birthday with 17 of my closest relatives over the Christmas holiday. I think this restaurant is well worth it for locals and for out-of-towners. (I'm not sure if this is mid-range or fine dining; it's billed as a family restaurant and is just that.) The decorations are plentiful and awesome for the kids of all ages, including a large train set around a village and through a mountain. The food is very plentiful, even if you get the moderate portion. It starts with packaged bread sticks and cheese ball, then soup and warm rolls, then salad or relish tray followed by main course and ice cream (butter pecan, peppermint, etc.). There is also a children's menu that includes chicken, grilled cheese, steak. This was a wonderful experience and in hindsight I should have tipped more than the 20% I left. :(
