Owner description: Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari are a family-owned theme park and water park combo located in Santa Claus, Indiana. Home of Thunderbird - America’s only launched wing roller coaster, Holiday World celebrates Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July with roller coasters, family rides, a huge water park, live entertainment, games, attractions - and Santa Claus, himself! Splashin’ Safari, ranked one of the nation’s Top Water Parks by TripAdvisor and USA Today, includes the two longest water coasters in the world, numerous family water slides, two wave pools, plus water activities for children. Both parks have been voted the World's Cleanest for more than a dozen years by the readers of Amusement Today magazine. In 2016, Guinness World Records certified Mammoth as the World's Longest Water Coaster and in 2013, TIME magazine named The Voyage the nation’s #1 wooden roller coaster. Live entertainment includes musical shows, a country band, high dive show, and Santa’s Storytime. Both parks offer guests free soft drinks, free parking, free inner tube usage, free sunscreen and free Wi-Fi. New for 2017! Firecracker is a classic Calypso ride, one of only a handful still in operation in North America.

Except for Disney World, I have never been to a better run amusement/water park! Wonderful and helpful employees throughout the park made a visit with daughters family (including a 2 yrs old and 5 yrs old) a special and fun filled day!

A great water park and always very clean, plus free soft drinks and iced tea for every guest all day. But it gets busy during peek hours in the summer, so get there early for a deck chair. Family friendly and great staff make this an easy, enjoyable day-cation for young children, or families with teens who want to spread their wings for a few hours while Mom and Dad cool off in the wave pool.

Best amusement park! These people know how to do it. Only improvement I can possibly think of is a few more shady areas would be very nice in the "tyke" areas of the water park. The food & souvenier vendors keep the prices reasonable and that's really great. The staff is pleasant but determined to keep things fun but safe.

I visited with my husband, 2 kids, (5&10), my father, sister, and nephew. We decided to spend one day riding rides and the second day at the water park. There was hardly any wait for the rides, I believe everyone was in the water park since it was a scorching hot week. We were able to ride everything we wanted, sometimes twice. The staff was very friendly and the park was super clean. The free soft drinks were highly appreciated! We had lunch in Plymouth Rock Cafe's air conditioned dining room. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Our second day at Splashin' Safari was super crowded, even for a Wednesday. We decided not to ride any of the water rides because it was such a hot day and we didn't want our kids baking in the sun for 2 hrs while waiting in line. We mostly stayed in the wave pools and the small kiddie attractions to stay cool. The free sunscreen was great!
We all had a great time, especially the kids, and plan to return again in the future.
