We visited on a Friday afternoon when there was little traffic. There are lots of appropriate businesses, and we found owners very cordial. Our favorite was a book shop (operated by two sisiters) that a had great variety of titles and subjects.

Still awaiting the businesses in the actual depot but there are shops and restaurants within walking distance. Great furniture store to browse. Tuesday nights in December is Old fashioned Christmas

I spent the afternoon walking around, taking in the sites. The variety of shops and eateries is really great. And the architecture is wonderful.

This historic part of Richmond has great places got eat and shop and if you're lucky, you will get to hear the rumble of the train as it comes through. Try Little Shebas for a choice of over 30 sandwiches. Take a photo of the giant chair at the entrance to Richert's Furniture Gallery or try homemade ice cream at Roscoe's Coffee Bar.
