My wife and I were traveling on hwy80 and needed diner on the way to Michigan City. This was well rated and we arrived around 9pm very hungry. The weather was heavy rain and flash floods. As we were seated a big container was collecting rain water. We asked for a booth and the hostess said they only had tables ready soaps we walked in we saw a couple of booths made up and she agreed to seat us at one.
Despite the disappointing start the waitress was great and helped us navigate the menu. We split the single papas salad which was plenty for two to share. Wife got gnocchi and I had veal Marsala which was excellent. Drinks were regularly refreshed and the tiramisu was an excellent finish.
I would have rated it 5 stars had they not run out of bread and the hostess was more alert. We will definitely return when in the area.
