This townhouse ("Villa") is a great base camp for Starved Rock and the surrounding area (e.g., Utica, LaSalle, Ottawa). We enjoyed both the park and canoeing the North Vermilion starting from Streator. It is on the property of Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort (and water park/indoor amusement park). But it is on the far edge of the townhouses in a quiet, wooded setting (less exposed than other units). And being on the property gives you easy access to things like a fun mini-golf course, playground, food services, etc. There is tons of space in the 2-story condo. Master bedroom is huge with a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, TV/DVD player, couch, balcony, sink/counter, etc. The other bedroom (also upstairs) shares the toilet and tub/shower, but it can be closed off for privacy. That room has 2 queens, sliding glass doors, TV, large closet, etc. We loved the comfortable mattresses and pillows. Main floor has lots of room with comfortable seating in the living area with a fire place, and a connected open kitchen (full-sized appliances and well-stocked utensils) and large table in the eating area, as well as bar stools at kitchen counter. Also on ground floor is full-sized washer and dryer, a second full bathroom and even a nice entryway to pile sports gear, coats, etc. Two parking spaces are included. The place was extremely clean and well maintained. No Pets - so great for family that has allergies. The owner was super easy to deal with and responsive. Enjoyed our stay!!
